Stone Bench

This project was a stone bench and fire pit made of Ashfield Stone designed by the architectural firm Bluegreen out of Aspen, Colorado. It was meant to match in color and texture a basalt stone veneer siding previously installed on the back wall of this sunken patio. We did a full scale mock up in Ashfield, disassembled the structure, packed the pieces on pallets, loaded it on a trailer and sent it to Aspen. In Aspen, we had a crane drop the pallets into the sunken garden and rebuilt the structure in place.
